Production Studio

The Hopkins High School Music Production Studio is a 1-term class where students foster a deeper relationship with music and music technology while increasing confidence, collaboration, and self-reflection abilities. Students use professional music production software (Logic Pro X) and Mac workstations to produce original music while learning about recording, production, mixing, and appropriate terminology for communicating with other musicians.

Developing musicianship and creative problem solving skills within a musical setting stems from 4 foundational strand areas: Perform, Create, Respond and Connect. Within those strand areas, students learn to assess their own abilities, provide feedback to peers, and understand the competencies that they need to develop.
